Throughout recorded civilization, the New Moon has been regarded as the “beginning,” usually chronologically, signifying the beginning of calendar months, agriculturally, a good time for sowing/planting, and astrologically a good time to begin projects of significance.
These references are found in, if not all, then most all religious texts and traditions, from Christianity, Hinduism, Islamism, Hebraic, Buddhism, etc.
Especially, with today/tomorrow’s New Moon also being a Solar Eclipse, it seems to be a most auspicious time to “begin” a new project. In case your “new project” includes a more positive way to look at yourself and your life, then I offer you this…
This is what I believe to be one of them most, nondenominational, and inclusive texts for positive, personal affirmations. With so many negative messages about ourselves shared in the various media, a few positive reminders of our power, strength, and good nature can only help us in learning to love ourselves more, being better people, living better lives, and supporting each other to do the same.
At this powerful time of the year, I offer up, LIFE CHANGES NETWORK’S rendition of “The Egyptian Affirmations,” from “The Eye of Horus – An Oracle of Ancient Egypt,” by David Lawson, as compiled by Dorothy Lee Donahue, Narrated by me, Filippo Voltaggio, with transformational Music by Marco Missinato, and beautiful Photographs and Editing by Carisa Caruso.
Watch, Listen, Play it in the background, Fall asleep to it, Absorb it, Enjoy it, Be good to yourself, and Share it!
